The enlargement of our family by the factor 1.5 made it nessessary to move with my office somewhere else.
Because I have many international clients it is important to get phonecalls after regular office hours. Therefore I needed an office right next to my home. The only way to have that, was an room in the garden.
We are planning to build a house in the future, so the office will have to move too. Mobile and flexible architecture you can get on the market is eather ugly or not representative.
Designing the office I got help from Claus Osterrieder, the boss of a big interior design company called VHB. One project they where part of was the german Reichstag. Claus had all the technical knowledge and VHB built the box finally after a few month of planning.
Most of the elements have a strong horizontal direction. There is electrical heating in the walls. Technical devices are all in the black cabinet. For electricity there is a hidden channel in the floor.
The larch wood on the outside is almost silver now.
