When I started to design Monday I wanted to keep the atmosphere as soft and gentle as possible. A typeface that workes in the communication of a cosmetic or helthcare brand. On the other side behind all the softness it has a technical aspect. That might be the reason why the telephone provider Blue.de used it in the logotype. It is fairly wide. So you have to be careful using it in narrow columns, it might get to tiny.
The horizontal terminals are angled to keep a certain sharpness in the rhythm. In copy you should not get heavier than Heavy. Extrabold and Ultrabold work best in display.
There is a capital ß in Monday, like in most of my text typefaces.
In the standard set the main figures are tabular but with a proportional old style figure set as a feature.
Traditional and stylistic ligatures are also part of the feature set.
