The forms of Polia have been carfully chosen after many different directions I went into. It is one of those characters that attract on the second sight. The idea was to have a movement to the right in the round elements and in the endings. The dynamics start quiet on the baseline and get stronger further up.
Still the main strokes are perfectly upright. It is always one of those ideas that make a start for a typeface, but at the end it is the rhythm in text that makes it interesting. Polia is very legible and unique down to very small sizes. All together that makes Polia a perfect tool for magazines and corporate usage.
Polia has one additional weight Black. That makes 10 weights all with italics.
In the standard set the main figures are tabular but with a proportional old style figure set as a feature.
Traditional and stylistic ligatures are also part of the feature set.
